California Privacy Notice

This California Privacy Notice ("Notice") supplements the Renn Labs Data Privacy Agreement and applies solely to California consumers. This Notice provides additional details about the personal information we collect about California consumers and the rights afforded to them under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

For purposes of this Notice, "personal information" has the meaning given in the CCPA/CPRA but does not include information exempted from the scope of the CCPA/CPRA.

1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We have collected the following categories of personal information from consumers within the last twelve (12) months:

A. Identifiers: We collect names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, unique personal identifiers, online identifiers, and Internet Protocol addresses.

B. Personal Information Categories Listed in the California Customer Records Statute: This includes names, addresses, telephone numbers, credit card numbers, debit card numbers, or any other financial information.

C. Protected Classification Characteristics under California or Federal Law: While we do not collect this category, it typically includes information such as age (40 years or older), race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, religion or creed, marital status, medical condition, physical or mental disability, sex (including gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy or childbirth and related medical conditions), sexual orientation, veteran or military status, and genetic information (including familial genetic information).

D. Commercial Information: We collect records of personal property, products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, as well as other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies.

E. Biometric Information: Although not collected by us, this category includes genetic, physiological, behavioral, and biological characteristics or activity patterns used to extract a template or other identifying information, such as fingerprints, faceprints, and voiceprints, iris or retina scans, keystroke, gait, or other physical patterns, and sleep, health, or exercise data.

F. Internet or Other Similar Network Activity: This includes browsing history, search history, and information on a consumer's interaction with a website, application, or advertisement.

G. Geolocation Data: We collect physical location or movement data.

H. Sensory Data: Not collected by us, this category includes audio, electronic, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information.

I. Professional or Employment-Related Information: We collect information on current or past job history or performance evaluations.

J. Non-Public Education Information: Not collected by us, this category includes education records directly related to a student maintained by an educational institution or party acting on its behalf, such as grades, transcripts, class lists, student schedules, student identification codes, student financial information, or student disciplinary records.

K. Inferences Drawn from Other Personal Information: We collect profiles reflecting a person's preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.

2. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use the personal information we collect for the business purposes disclosed within our Data Privacy Agreement. These business purposes include:

  • Providing our services
  • Customer support and communication
  • Marketing and advertising our products and services
  • Improving our services and developing new features
  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Compliance with legal obligations

3. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose. In the past twelve (12) months, we have disclosed personal information for business purposes to the following categories of third parties:

  • Service providers
  • Business partners
  • Affiliated companies

4. SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Renn Labs does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

5. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE CCPA/CPRA

As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection, use, disclosure, and sale of your personal information over the past 12 months.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. Note that we do not currently sell personal information.
  • Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information collected or processed for the purpose of inferring characteristics about a consumer.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.

6. HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS

To exercise your rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by either:

Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information.

7. RESPONSE TIMING AND FORMAT

We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.

8. CHANGES TO THIS CALIFORNIA PRIVACY NOTICE

We reserve the right to amend this Notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this Notice, we will post the updated Notice on our website and update the Notice's effective date.
